5 PC Setup Styles to Inspire Your Dream Desk

Updated: 17 hours ago

To create the dream desk, you have to choose a main style to be your guideline. Here are 5 great ones to follow up.

1. Cozy Style

A cozy PC setup is all about creating a warm, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. Instead of focusing on strong RGB effects or an aggressive gaming aesthetic, cozy setups usually combine warm lighting, soft colors, and simple decorations.

A carefully chosen wallpaper can also reinforce the cozy feeling with landscapes, warm interiors, nature, or subtle artwork.

The goal is to create a setup that feels inviting — a place where you can comfortably work, study, play games, or simply relax for hours.

2. Pop Maximalism

Okay, here's one of my favorites 😅 and also one of the most different ones.

Maximalism is gaining popularity because some people are getting tired of strict minimalism. These setups are great examples: lots of elements, gadgets, plants, pictures, and colors.

However, every single element has a purpose, which makes this style a great way to reflect your personality, your vibe, and your mood.

3. Dark Style

Here is a broad definition, but let's take it easy 😎.

Dark setups are great for creating a gaming vibe, especially with the right use of RGB lighting. Some of the main features are dark or black tones, one or two RGB colors to highlight the setup and reinforce its vibe, and gaming accessories.

But now you can make it your own. The picture above shows us something: dark is a broad style that you can combine with your own ideas.

You may notice that some styles naturally blend with others, and there's nothing more normal than that. In fact, mixing different styles is one of the best ways to make your setup feel unique.

4. Minimalism

Less is more. 😎 Minimalist setups focus on simplicity, organization, and functionality. Usually, you'll see clean desks, neutral colors, few accessories, and little to no RGB lighting. But minimalism doesn't mean your setup has to be boring. A carefully chosen wallpaper, a small plant, or one unique accessory can add personality without breaking the clean aesthetic. Maximalism is about many elements with meaning, Minimalism is about keeping only what you need, and barely you need more than a few bunch of elements.

The main idea is simple: keep what matters and remove what doesn't. A minimalist setup should feel clean, calm, and intentional.

5. Neo Déco

One of the most different and original styles — and also one of the hardest to achieve.

Neo Deco is a design and art trend that can be adapted beautifully to PC setups. We can take inspiration from the image above, but you'll probably need to completely transform your room to recreate this composition.

What we can easily borrow from the style is its refined color palette, wooden furniture, geometric lines, and rich textures.

And well, if you actually manage to build a room like this, you can proudly say: “Nobody has a setup like this.” 😎
